The Benedictine rule according to which monks wearing black habits should act comes from 529 and prescribes, among others, guest reception. Abbey of "one hundred villages and four cities"

The Benedictine abbey of Saints Peter and Paul in Tyniec is the oldest inhabited Polish monastery, established in 1044. It is situated on a rock on the right bank of the Vistula, among the rich green forests of forests. For many years, the monastery was favored by the dukes of Krakow, and later Polish kings. Probably it was an economic power, hence it was called the abbey of "a hundred villages and four cities".
